Storybook Circus at the Magic Kingdom

On Monday the new "mini-land" Storybook Circus, in Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom, had a soft-opening, meaning it is open at some times, and not at others.  The official opening is slated for the end of the month.  This land pays tribute to the traveling circus of the 50's and 60's, which is the setting for the movie Dumbo.

Within Storybook Circus you will find two Dumbo attractions, commonly known as the Dueling Dumbos since they will fly side-by-side in opposite directions.  And since there will be two, the wait time will go drastically down for this iconic attraction!  In addition to the Dueling Dumbos, the actual queue will be air-conditioned in a large circus tent and interactive, so your time waiting in line will be comfortable and full of entertainment.  The second-Dumbo and  interactive queue have not yet opened.

Alongside of Dumbo you will find the Barnstormer - which you may remember from Mickey's ToonTown.  This re-themed child-friendly roller coaster is designed featuring The Great Goofini with a wonderful queue full of fun photo opportunities!

In addition to Dumbo and the reopening of the Barnstormer, the Fantasyland train station has opened.  You can now take the Walt Disney World Railroad around the Magic Kingdom and get off in Fantasyland.

When all of Storybook Circus opens it will also include a Casey Jr. splash area for kids and more.

The Disney Parks Blog featured a few pictures the other day to get a glimpse of this new land.
